Maramureș – A Quiet Corner of Romania

My trip to Maramureș was about slowing down and watching life unfold in its most traditional form. Wooden churches, misty valleys, farmers working the land, and faces shaped by decades of routine and resilience — these became the core of my photographic story.

The images capture a region where modern life arrives slowly: haystacks in morning fog, horse carts on narrow roads, and villages that feel untouched by time. It was a short journey, but one that revealed a Romania still deeply connected to its roots.
