First Wrestling event this year! I photographed the 121st Ob- und Nidwaldner Kantonalschwingfest 2026 in Hergiswil and focused on capturing the raw intensity of each duel in the sawdust. The mix of lake views, mountain backdrop and the electric atmosphere around the final “Schlussgang” shaped the visual story I brought home. What struck me most was how tradition, athletic power and the energy of the crowd came together to create moments that felt both timeless and deeply alive. And the weather was stunning as well.
