As a photographer, there is nothing quite like being right in the heart of the action, and covering the Freiburger Kantonalschwingfest in Murten allowed me to capture the raw energy, intense emotion, and deep-rooted Swiss traditions up close. From the dirt-kicking, powerful gripping in the sawdust ring to the breathtaking aerial choreography of the Swiss Air Force’s PC-7 Team overhead, I focused on bringing every dynamic detail of this massive event to life. By framing both the fierce focus of the competitors—including the local triumph of champion Lario Kramer—and the roaring enthusiasm of the 10,500 spectators on the Pantschau, I wanted my images to serve as a powerful, living archive of a truly historic celebration.
