It looks like I’m turning into a boxing photographer. And why? There are fewer photographers around the boxing ring, which makes it easier to take action pictures and move around.

It’s very different from my usual concert photography. The three-song rule creates less dramatic images because the action happens mostly at the end of a concert. When the sweat flows and the musicians go wild. And then no one is allowed in the photo pit.

At boxing events, the action happens at all times. Often as early as in the first round. The longer the fight, the more sweat and blood flow.

Back to the event in Wangen. There were 10 professional fights in the boxing hall. I took about 4500 pictures, but only 200 of them were halfway good 🙂 .
